Yesterday, our New York office held a bake sale to raise money for Cookies for Kids’ Cancer. Since we have an extraordinary amount of good bakers here, we usually hold a company bake-off. This year we wanted to put our skills to good use and raise money for a worthy cause.
The event was organized in only a week and we had about 20 people submit delicious baked goods and a large supply of sweet tooths ready to donate. Colleagues in other offices showed their support by sending cookiegrams to coworkers. So far we’ve raised close to $800!
Did you know that only 3% of the National Cancer Institute’s $4.8 billion budget goes to pediatric cancer? To learn more about how you can host your own bake sale and help children fight the battle with cancer, be a good cookie and check out the Cookies for Kids’ Cancer website.
