We’ve made two enhancements to our LinkGenerator deep linking bookmarklet!
Publishers can now-
- Add a U1 value, if you use Signature to track sub-sites or members
- Append promotional text and get back an HTML link
For those of you that are not familiar with the LinkGenerator bookmarklet, you can use it to create a tracking link to a specific page on an Advertiser site…with the click of a button! Creating targeted tracking links has never been easier. You can also easily share the link with your Facebook and Twitter followers.
This is what the pop-up window will look like after you’ve clicked the LinkGenerator bookmark:
Pick up the LinkGenerator bookmarklet here in the Bento Box. First you’ll need to input your web services token, and then click-and-drag the LinkGenerator hyperlink to your browser favorites bar. You’ll only have to do this once. Then navigate to a page on an Advertiser site you want to create a tracking link to and click the LinkGenerator bookmark. You’ll get back a link to that page along, with options to shorten and share on Facebook and Twitter.

You can view the results in XML or get back a page on the interface. We don’t have CSV export yet but it sounds like a good idea!
