Florida is also considering new legislation that would tax retailers doing business with affiliates in their state. Entrepreneurs are earning a livelihood as LinkShare publishers in Florida, too.

As in California, we have publishers in nearly every Florida zip code.

A number of states have initiated advertising tax bills that require retailers to pay sales tax in states where they have commission-based affiliates. We sent a letter to the California Assembly urging them to consider the small businesses and entrepreneurs that bill ABl 178 would hurt.

At LinkShare, we know that our community of affiliates is composed of some of the most talented small business entrepreneurs around. One way you could take action is by contacting your state representatives and urging them to consider the negative impact this legislation could have on their state.
