Link Locator 2.0 is a web service that provides current Advertiser information and allows Publishers to download different types of creative from their Advertisers, without logging into the LinkShare Publisher Interface.   This automated access provides the most recent creative and coupons, which can be used to update sites directly.  In addition, the web service is supported by a wide range of commonly used development platforms.

Today, you can access two versions of Link Locator – 1.0 and 2.0.  On March 1st, Link Locator 1.0 will be replaced and upgraded to Link Locator 2.0.

There are several changes and improvement in Link Locator 2.0:

• It will provide information for nearly all creative types, while Link Locator 1.0 is limited to a fixed set of creative types.
• Link Locator 2.0 provides information for creative in any creative category, while Link Locator 1.0 only provides information about creative that is categorized using a standard set of six categories.

If you are currently using Link Locator 1.0, please begin converting your site(s) to use Link Locator 2.0.   We have assembled a simple list of guidelines and sample code for the implementation of Link Locator 2.0 in our Publisher Help Center here.
