I’m excited to tell you about a new plug-in for WordPress users called LinkShare  Link Lookup.  For those of you who are not familiar with WordPress, it is a free web publishing platform.

With Link Lookup you can do two things to help you earn revenue on your   WordPress site, directly from the posting page.

  1. Create deep links – enter a URL on an advertiser site, and get back a tracking link with your id
  2. Search for product links – search across all your advertisers or a specific advertiser for a product link, and then click and drag that product link directly into the post

Here’s the quick guide to getting started:

  1. Download LinkShare Link Lookup from the plug-in directory
  2. Upload the files to your WordPress directory
  3. Activate the plug-in
  4. Enter your token in the Settings page
  5. Expand the plug-in by clicking the red arrows on the post page and start earning!

Here’s a screen shot of what Link Lookup looks like in the WordPress interface after it’s been expanded on the posting page (click to enlarge):

The plug-in is currently in Beta, please send e-mails to developers at linkshare dot com with feedback and requests.

Please note that you can only create links for advertisers whose program you are approved into.  Deep linking is available for advertisers that are LinkBuilder enabled, and product link search for those advertisers with a Merchandiser data feed.

This should make integrating LinkShare commission-earning links with your WordPress website easier than ever!

this is a good idea but takes a bit of effort to do for each post. i reccomend using feed-word-press (aka syndicate post plugin) and use in conjunction with your linkshare data feeds. works as a great auto-content plugin. my site updates every 10 minutes based on teh linkshare data feeds
