Black Friday and Cyber Monday are to retailers what the World Series and Super Bowl are for sports fans.  Two days to fully take advantage of, and certainly not to forget.

Here at LinkShare, we keep a close eye on sales data for these few days.  With the uncertainty surrounding the economy and consumers watching their spending, the retail world was bracing for a relatively light holiday shopping season.  One would assume that Black Friday and Cyber Monday would follow in suit.

According to ComScore, online retailers, on average, experienced a 15 percent increase in sales on Cyber Monday and 1 percent growth on Black Friday.   Yet LinkShare Network same store sales were up 17 percent on Black Friday and 21 percent on Cyber Monday.   How did we do it?

  • Great communication between advertisers and publishers
  • Proactive relationship facilitation by our services team
  • A series of newsletters which included past shopping trend data and other industry best practices

Our commitment to the success of our customers paid off.

Happy Shopping!

This is my first Christmas on the Internet and I wanted to see what everyone else was doing instead of moving ahead on my own.
